Glad I've only got the non-critical systems running ME... I only wish I still had that Win98 2nd edition CD as opposed to the Win98 1st edition CD...

You are right but on my system it only happened when searching for a file containing specific text. When searching for a file or folder by name there was no significant decrease in unused memory.

SCUMbria - Try downloading a copy of FreeMem Pro - and run it after you do your little tap dance on Windows ME.

Se if it frees up the available memory.
