My humble opinion is that the Chinese move directly to 1X means that GPRS will be EXCLUDED from China as a potential health hazard. Chinese are not stupid, and they do love their children. So why would they ever do anything other than protect their children from excessive RF exposure that has been linked to sleep disorders in children. This is the battle of Midway all over again for NOK. Recall the hapless Japanese changing their airplane armaments back and forth between torpedos and bombs as the battle raged. Poor NOK is gearing up to make millions of GPRS phones which will likely be outlawed in various countries around the world before this is all overer. The world will not casually exhonorate NOK for their part in thes GSM to GPRS chirade. You can use bribery to purchase many things around the world, but i doubt thif there are many countries where you can bribe officials to injure their own children.

The way of Heaven is the way that gives life and happiness to human beings. What then are we to think of NOK's gearing up to make high radiation GPRS phones and MOT's unwillingness to admit that they were forced to lower the data rates on the GPRS phones in order to hold the radiation bellow US limits. Any Chinese official that allowed this risk to be introduced among the children would be dishonored forever as would his family.

Only the Euroserfs are stupid enough to believe the party line that they should adopt GPRS phones linked to sleep disorders in children.
