Don't be a doofus. In this context, one is generally referring to a theory about the mechanism, i.e. the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. It is sloppy not to disentangle the question of warming from the question of mechanism, but it doesn't mean much to use shorthand references......

. Global Warming is a statement of effect. It may or may not be happening but there is no way that it could be called a theory. You contradict your own "statement of effect". "It may or may not be happening ...". Perhaps we should call it a "fantasy".

The theory of global warming (ie whether man or activities of men are responsbile for the warming of this globe) has yet to be proven. My undergraduate degree is in biological sciences. I took over 120 hours of course credit in hard science curriculum. You are the ignorant one. Thanks for confirming it for all of us. And as for needing some sort of specialized knowledge to offer an opinion, clearly that is not required on these threads else you would be unable to post you silly fop. JLA
