Dear Scumbria: Well, conservation does not work. California shows that even in the face of blackouts, the public refuses to conserve beyond a given point. Besides all of the easy conservation has been done, now it gets much tougher. They have yet to make up a lousy 2% or so. Just think of what they would have to do to make up 10% required by Kyoto. Do not see you doing anything to conserve. Talk is cheap! Doing is hard! You are doing lots of the former and little (if any at all) of the later. Reduce CO2 by making your kids go to school by that time honored method of walking there instead of driving. Go to work by biking. Instead of jetting to the bay area, save some money by taking the train. If you do it, at least your words will finally match what you are saying. Pete
