Pete,

Boulder is home to Rocky Flats, which is one of the most toxic nuclear waste sites in the US. My home town of Los Alamos is surrounded by many poorly understood nuclear waste sites, and indeed suffered a big panic last summer over them.

Don't tell me that nuclear is clean.

BTW: Homes close to the mountains frequently have Radon problems because of proximity to granite. Radon is not an issue unless it becomes trapped in your house.
