Dear Ted:

The news articles I have read had the planes impacting over international waters. Both sides agree on that fact. The plane did land on a Chinese Island after the incident. It is far more likely that the nimble aircraft was at fault. Between a missile and a commercial jet, the missile is the one that impacts, not the jet. A fighter can do over 9G, a cargo plane much less. Big and slow does have its advantages though.
