Certainly looks like a series of consolidation steps are underway "down under", and initial signs that non-hedgers like Goldfields, Harmony, and FN are in the fray. South African production looks in deep doo-doo because of the capital barriers and extortion requirements shoved in front of these companies by that government. It's gotten so bad they can't even merge crossholdings (see second news item Randgold). Both events have bullish implications for POG.I am not a bull on South African producers. Should be used as a source of funds to deploy into other names.
