That's obvious, and why I said:

Are the short/long term prospects for earnings growth for the tech companies better of worse than the prospects for the average large cap company?

Maybe a permanent change has taken place in the marketplace for technology products, and their growth, if their is growth, will trail your general "old economy" big cap companies. That's what the market seems to be telling us.

So is technology a slow to no growth area for the forseeable future? Or is the market wrong, should you be buying these companies at these prices?
