MFN: Most bear markets end after a year. Investors obviously move the market, but it isn't as *controlled* as w/ stocks. IOW, a manager knows he/she wants to buy a stock @ 35 (a la KLAC ;-) ), but they are *stock* pickers not market pickers. A brokerage house (a la Soloman today) will recommend buying the market, but they have far less control over the overall picture/market. And no, not everyone expects a cut *this* month. Most expect one next month. Lastly, I'm not expecting a rocketship either... investors will be *much* more cautious after this last year. I do expect a bull market though.
