Well, we had a nice spike on the VIX to 39.88

Actually that's what I attempted, had a 950, then 1050 and sold the 43 qqqs just before I left. Still have my 1400 calls that covered the top. Maybe I should call them a straddle spread or a spread straddle. Never have seen them identified. But they work well in this market.

I have friends here in the interior that can't understand why I won't see the Perfect Storm. Been there done that. Can't really describe the feelings that you have when you’re out in that type of weather; somewhere between pissing your pants and ecstasy.

I still think about a deckhand that stood next to me when we where trying to get in to Kodiak onetime. She stood there with tears running down her face and wouldn't say a word. That scared me. I had three lives plus my own in my hands as we worked our way around the rocks.

Sure puts a perspective on risk.
