My point is....why will the brains flow to top guns...? What would prevent me from jumping from CSCO to JNPR for example ? Or even to FOrce 10 networks for that matter <for pre IPO stock>. I don't lose anything...if Nas is at 3 yr lows.... There is no obvious advantage IMO, in working for any one particular company, or even a particular type of company <big vs small, large cap vs small cap>....I think most people will choose based on salary levels......and the bidding war for talent could rewrite the leadership equation... A very small point, but important neverthless

The lack of liquidity has aborted the bvsn's and arba's of the world. Folks like Glenn want to make this into something else like "bad management." Well, these companies were based on growth...they needed to grow quickly for another year or two to get their legs under them. There is no way they survive this environment, whole. Gene, The problem with the market was lack of liquidity and still is as you stated. Was there a need to float this many more shares on the market that did not have the liquidity to absorb them? Some shares are fine but management I believe also should look at market factors such as lquidity to see how well the shares they dump can be absorbed. This is not an Ariba specific issue but an issue for many of these firms. If one adds up all the sold shares from so many of the ARBAs, BVSNs, AMZNs,BRCMs, etc. this made no sense at all. biz.yahoo.com biz.yahoo.com
