bobby, I was a classic case of that misguided love. But you will die to learn why I got out when I did...it has a bit to do with Lucretius. Back in 1998 we were both posting on the Strictly Drilling thread. He turned bearish that summer and we went at it with each other...until I was finally convinced the market was going down. I started to short things like C and PG, etc. Anyway, I made a bundle...but then lost it all when I held my shorts too long and got hammered by the quick rebound. That experience taught me a lot mainly because Luc continued to maintain his bear mode and missed out on the greatest market gain (bubble) in memory. I always remembered that...how a mind set can eventually lead to doom.

Anyway, the QCOM run made me a fortune (for awhile) and I forgot the lessons learned...for awhile. Finally when Q began crashing in early 2000...before everything else did...I remained in denial until I happened onto one of Luc's posts. FLASH BACK. I was locked into the same head trip...refusing to listen to the market and remain with my self delusion. I got the hell out on that recent rally QCOM had up to $100+ and started to suggest QCOM was in trouble (not to be though of as brilliant, I got out not above 100 but well below...around 84, then some at 67, then the final amount at 58...what a guy). Got ridiculed by the Q bulls on the Q thread, but expected it. I had done the same to so many others.

The ltb&h thing still remains there for the most part as it does on many bull threads...just wondering when it will finally vaporize.

Weird how things connect.

<H>
