So after we by pass tax structure, why have so many business opted to manufacture in Asia?

An extreme excess by any rational definition. More grist for the US Dollar bear argument. Note current account deficit as % of GDP: 4.4% is a Banana Republic level, and US net international investment levels and paltry returns.
