Unless you were in the mind of every republican making every appointment, how could you know? You couldn't. Your blanket statement is false if even one republican has a litmus test. Want to bet there is more than one?

I am sure you would like to believe republicans are more fair than democrats- but they aren't. Both parties have their own litmus tests, though they would probably fight to the death before they admitted that.

I didn't say that Republicans apply religious litmus tests. Neo brought up the bit about the religious makeup of the Cabinet and I responded to him. What I said was that prominent Republican Christians have said that morality comes only from religion. I've heard it so often that I don't see how he could have not noticed. Since that issue is primarily what stands between me and the Republican Party (libertarian wing), I assure you that I notice every time it's said.

Whenever I run across examples, I'll be sure to share them with you.
