not true. what caused the bubble? belief in a new technology. what caused the bubble, they couldn't properly value the technology. in both cases, the technology didn't have to "go away" for investors to get torched.

are these similarities? absolutely. are they in addition to a bubble is a bubble? absolutely.

are there differences? yes. but there are MANY similarities.

tony - I think people understand,,,, the collective (positive )attitude is what has to be there ,,,for any change in perception.
(I think we learned that from that time [Great Depression)
This is all perception.
On some level, all just smoke and mirrors.
If nobody has any money then nobody has any money.
It's as simple as that. Nothing else much changes.
It's still get up in the morning and put your socks on.
It's all in how we choose to look at the day. However hokey that might sound.
