The MSOs would love to incur the truck roll at any exponential rate if growth. That cost is trivial given the revenue stream that automatically accrues. At the last CC ATHM made it abundantly clear that subscriber growth estimates were being cut because the MSO's were being careful with cash flow. To me that means they are cutting back on upgrades, installs, and promotions - not spending money any faster than they are bringing in from current customers. My guess is that it takes 6 months to pay back the cost of an install. It may be shortsighted of them, but its pretty clear they are deliberatly slowing things down. That's where @Home is failing completely. They're a total dud in the creativity department. You pegged that one. The only thing worse than being a creative dud is being a creative dud and not realizing it. Oh yeah- they do that too. Eric
