We would have never gotten to the point of inventing the bomb if we had not entered the war when we did. However, it is likely we would have been the RECIPIENT of one of those, with a swastika on it.

And I agree with the bomb decision as you've described. Oh, and as I recall, it was a Democrat who made that decision.
