cfoe - China is not Russia. There is a real issue with the concept of "Saving Face" in Asia. It is an intrisic part of certain Asian cultures that it is not in other parts of the World. The PRC may have felt issues in this context with Mr Bush and may have reacted in this case as opposed to elsewhere. Relations with China are not Junior School politics they are Post Grad level. It also hepls to recognize that China is about 22.5% of the human race with a 5,000 year history. They are also very very good friends with long memories Best regards, L
