I don't know for a fact that the US bombed the Chinese embassy on purpose. I don't have access to classified information. But it makes sense. The Chinese are said to have been providing intelligence collected by espionage in their embassy to the Serbians during the war in Kosovo. We were at war with the Serbians, the Chinese were helping the Serbians, all of a sudden the Chinese embassy gets bombed.

Coincidence?

If we are at war with China then I expect China to shoot down our planes. If they shoot down an American plane, then we will help China with its overpopulation problem. If the Chinese want to take out California, I hope they take out Barbra Streisand, Julia Roberts, and the rest of the fellow travelers first. They can bomb Bill Gates, too, while they are at it.-g-

And I am not hard line, as you know.

The business about US purposefully bombing the Belgrade embassy is pure blather and not to be taken seriously. In terms of international law, such an act would be an act of war if shown to be intentional. There is no evidence available to any layman that the bombing took place on orders from a US leader.

Like the incident involving the spy plane, the Belgrade bombing was an accident. The mettle of both countries' is tested by accidents such as these.
