Niceguy,

Maria made her comment while interviewing the COO of Dell. Her comment was not directed at AMD, but at Dell's competitors (HP, Compaq, Gateway, IBM, etc) in response to Dell's claim that their declining parts cost in the current low demand environment will be passed on to customers as they continue their aggressive price war to gain market share.

On a different note, I sure hope that Intel gets back up to $27, so I can short it again. I sold my Intel puts yesterday (that I bought for $1) for as much as $5 each. Sure would like to do that again. Intel is supposed to announce the 1.7Ghz P4 on 4/15. That should push Intel up on the 16th. Puts bought on the 16th and sold when Intel crashes on the 18th could yield large short term gains. The wild card is Cisco, and when they announce that they will not be meeting lowered guidance. The next two weeks are going to be one hell of a ride.

Pravin.
