There was an article in The Washington Post that implied that these type of spy missions go on all the time. This is true as you can see from article by BENDAVID from Chicago Tribune. I didn't read the Post article but someone who did told me that usually these incidents are not reported to the public and are settled very quickly or that was the subtle implication of the article. I believe the Bush administration reported the incident. If they had not done so, China would not have lost face, and all of this would have been settled quickly, if we were lucky. Problem is China has lost face and the US plane landed without permission on a Chinese military base so the Chinese need an apology to placate their people. M.....
