Hey, A.S., I like your spirit. I took great pleasure today placing a few large market orders on volatile stocks right at critical points, hoping to kick 'em up another 1/16. Managed to cover 'em all, and even re-entered orders on TXCC twice. I share your view that short selling has gotten out of hand, and this is my way, however futile, of trying to level the field...
Tomorrow ought to be quite a nervous time for the SS crowd, and I expect to have some large orders waiting for them at the opening...
And then I'll go back to being my normal, friendly, easy-going stock trading self again <GG>a
Cheers!
tso

over-shorting?? Do you subscribe to the idea that
short-sellers drive the market down?

A.S.

Highways allow vehicles to travel in both directions. Long or short, it's all the same, just so long as you sell higher than you buy.

By the way, be thankful (as are those who are charged with "maintaining orderly markets") that a few bears did manage to survive the mania. They provide the ONLY buyers when panic sets in, which slows the descent into hell.

I would also beg you to reconsider your strategy, as it will see you become much poorer before the year is over. You are observing a standard bear market rally in operation..... sharp, violent and SHORT. Don't be taken in by a few hours of stupidity, profit from it.

Best, Earlie

>>This over-shorting is very-very bad for the world economy<<

i suppose you think bidding up a turd company like amzn to a $40 billion market cap is good for the economy, huh?

you are confused. a bubble market guarantees a very big BUST. if you don't want the BUST, don't pay stupid prices for companies relative to alternative investments.

that is the ONLY way to avoid these DISASTERS.

yes, your REAL enemy is people just like YOU!

<This over-shorting is very-very bad for the world economy. Sorry, but definitely feeling vengeful today. If we continue rallying into next week, bye bye short positions.>

LOL, what about 'over borrowing' and 'over investing' at stupid prices??? THAT's what leads to recessions and depressions. Shorts??? We're freakin pikers making a few million while TRILLIONs change hands between the big boyz... or should I say from the public TO the big boyz. Shorts are nothing in the world economy, it's a fact.
