Descent into hell? I think that's already happened.
Examples are numerous. Today may have signalled the end to the shortest wildest bear market ever, in techs especially. If not today then soon. Now it's time for the ascent to stability and recovery, gradually at least.

Defensive stocks actually went up during that period though. Now those are fully valued. Short those if you want to short. But stay away from the fallen angels. Many if not most of them will fly again. But never again to the old highs.
