R.P: That list may be based on trailing earnings. No one has a clue about forward earnings.

So its best to base our valuations in terms of the PSR during past SEMI cycles. That was my basis why I thought them to be overvalued.

It may be prudent to wait till we hear some positives in the CC's.

The earnings estimates are falling fast. Intel's P/E is now over 40. The P/E based on 2002 is about 25. I'm also finding many of the price-to-book ratios are less meaningful as a result of a large amount of goodwill residing on the balance statement, some companies as much as 80% of the book value.
