"WE WON TWO WARS for the Europeans". In World War II the side that killed the most Nazis was the USSR. No other nation came close. World War II was won by Britain, the USSR and the U.S. together. Of these three nations, the last two were forced into the war by Hitler declaring war on them. Only the UK acted on a matter or principle, when Poland was invaded.
In World War I, the U.S. declared war as a matter of principle, and the entrance of the U.S. changed the allies's position from a stalemate to victory. But again, most of the Kaiser's army casualties came from the actions of Britain and France.
