I expect we'll hear soon enough. I haven't seen much technical detail on precisely what the problem was, and what they did to fix it. I doubt they disabled prefetch across the board.

Disabling prefetch or turning of caching all together? Turning of caching is a huge performance hit, prefetch I'd be suprised at that kind of hit. But I don't know the details of what's going on with the Sun situation, so I should probably not poke fun at the 5% hit. It was the smugness with which a 5% hit was supposed to be an end-of-the-world kind of thing that provoked me into my tirade.
