Montreal was a friendly city before the Separatist movement took hold. Most people were bi-lingual. However, the last few times I was there everything changed. The French would not speak English to you even if you were buying gas in their gas station. Things got "out of hand".

I absolutely LOVE California. We have some problems here but for the most part this place is wonderful. We have a gorgeous coastline, and beautiful mountain ranges full of unusual scenic pleasures. One can cross the state in 4 to 5 hours so you can be at the beach in the morning and
drive to the Mts to catch afternoon skiing if you wish. We are culturally diverse so one can find restaurants with the cuisine of your choice.

The weather here is great. Even tho we are hot in the summer, it always cools down at night and there is no humidity. After suffering through -45 degree days near Lake Placid, I can assure you the climate here suits me just fine!

Even with the blackouts , the high cost of living and earthquakes......I'm here to stay. I love it here!
