PCSTEL, .... Some thoughts on your IDCC postulations :

<< However, that being said.. Could this delay of the masses in the technology heap of W-CDMA actually be trying to completely "By-Pass Qualcomm"? >>

"Trying" to bypass? ..... Sure !

But... succeeding with a bypass ? .... No !
( Too tough to bypass vital features such as: smoothe handoff, power control, etc. )

<< After all, The Euros have gone on and on about how W-CDMA and IS-95/CDMA 2000 are completely different animals.. And the only thing that are similar is the acronym that they share!! >>

Note: The Euros going "on and on" with the big lie ....doesn't change the FACT .... that WCDMA is a rather clumsy (& FAILED ) attempt at a bypass;

<<We know that they have been trying to get QCOM IPR overturned in Japan, and Europe.. Why would they be doing this? If they knew they had to pay the same royalty rate regardless of the Standard Used? >>

If they had really succeeded in overturning the Q's CDMA IPR, then they wouldn't have to pay ANY royalty at all; (From the Cabal's point of view, that would seem a sufficient incentive for the legal challenges to date)

All IMHO
