You're correct, the "red tape" adds plenty but it really is a huge engineering project. Since the political climate is sure to swing in any 10 year span, that makes it a huge reengineering and reengineering project.

I watched completed structures torn out and replaced before ever being used to comply with changing standards.

I'm not sure why any utility would want to undertake a new nuke plant with this type of uncertainty.

On the other hand, my USU is looking pretty good these days -g

Times have changed. The large engineering firms that helped build the nuclear power plants have cut way back or been acquired. We are going to have the learning curve all over again in this area.

Besides the Movies SUCK, The technology co's are all closing. Besides were they going to get the financing? NEW YORK baby! We got are own dairey, we got IBM what the heck do we need goof balls from the wrong coast for. Their just a bunch of spoiled babies out there. They dont like the COLD, or hard realities of the EAST coast. If they ever bothered to check all the guys running everything out there are from NY/BRONX/BROOKLYN anyway.
