People in PA are still paying a surcharge on their utility bills for Three Mile Island being shut down.

What happens when this administration is gone and all the rules get changed? I've watched this happen during the construction of two plants. In a deregulated environment it is hard to pass the additional costs on to the rate payers. Many operating plants are experiencing difficulties recouping their "stranded" costs for construction/upgrade.

Even after a plant is fully licensed to operate they must fight a yearly battle for renewal.

I would love to see a nuclear comeback but the issues regarding wasted/fuel disposal and the uncertainty in the licensing process are going to be difficult to resolve.
