t2,

From what I observe, more new employees are going for higher pay than lucrative stock options.

BTW, when LU laid off 10% of its workforce, the company gave every remaining employee a MEAGER 10% pay raise.

t2,

EMC is likely my future #1 holding. SUNW, ORCL, and arguably TXN will be my second tier play. But I am not a buyer now. Market might rally in the next several weeks, but eventually it has to come down. I will begin to accumulate in the next leg down when NAZ is in the 1400-1500 range.

I don't want to buy too much QQQ because I don't like its king. Too many fund managers I know (who are not short the market) believe that Mr. Softie deserves to be in the low 30s.

Random musing: So Wall Street finally decided that it's time to kill the amateurish shorts, who were likely frustrated longs who just found out that it's possible to make $$$ when the market going down in the last several weeks. By killing these shorts, Wall Street effectively eliminated a significant portion of investors that should add fuels when the market finally rallies.
