"bad news bobby" would have looked horrible on over the brink's resume. he left cash in so he could say that he was long if the market went up.

it is an old trick broker use. call 50 people and tell them stock abc is going up. cal 50 people and tell them stock abc is going down. when the stock moves (up or down) call back those folks you told the correct direction and let them know you were "right."

some psychic folks use this gimmick, too...
