Bill,

Good point. AMD is taking a very conservative approach, and leaving little room for delivering a defective product. Which is the only thing that could hurt them right now.

Bill, I marketed movies for seven years. Word of mouth advertising works for theatres, not studios - which is why this method is only used by studios with no money.

AMD products are definitely sleepers. Unfortunately, so is their stock. They have had problems unloading Durons - and now it appears Athlons. Fortunately, P4 sucks. Had it been a decent product - AMD would be dead meat (IMO).

And yes, AMD is gathering converts - mostly because they are selling them at less than 1/2 the cost of competitive products. If a P4 1.5 is going for $500 - why can't AMD sell out of 1.3 at $200?
