Someone on the AMAT thread was speculating about how long it would take for the Nasdaq to get back to 5000, and I figured out that historical norms suggest about eight years.

Perhaps of interest to readers of this thread would be how long it would take for it to get back to 3500, since that's about where it peaked last October. Looks like it would take about 5.2 years. Of course it could happen much faster.

Despite CSCO's warning and an after hours drop of 10 percent or so for the stock, Nasdaq futures are UP a bit at this time. Short-term bullish?
