Patron, RE: Boxing. You keep short position and buy long to "box" it. You "unbox" by selling your long position. By doing this you gain: no uptick on "unboxing" plus after hours "unboxing", right? Any other benefites?
Drawback: much higher margin requirements. When you are "boxed" you don't earn interest on cash you'd otherwise have AND, possibly, some real cash is not earning interest because it's tied for margin. TIA.
