Absolutely they remain athletes if they don't fall behind competitively and their balance sheets remain strong.

There was talk during the 1990 bear market that Compaq would not recover. This right before Windows 3.0.

Of course Dell was traded in 1990, and they were the discount upstart. Cisco went public then. What the hell was a router, anyway?
