Now me. If children are outside I go in. One kid falling and crying 200 yards from me gives me the heebies.

I'm single. I used to go out and buy full size Kit-kats and Butterfingers for the kids on Halloween. Then one day I realized I was nuts. All it would take is for one kid to say something funny and you would be cooked. Either that or if some nut puts something in the candy, there is going to be a manhunt on and you are going to be profiled and targeted. Once I woke up to the risk I decided to keep my door locked on Halloween.

That's terrible that you have to feel that way. But I know how you feel. I'm very careful in how I interact with other people's children in public, because people are paranoid to the max. In my neighborhood people feel compelled to wait with their children at the end of their driveways for the bus. I live way out in the country, nothing ever happens here. Why can't people feel relaxed enough to let their children wait for the bus by themselves? I'm not talking pre-school either, these are 10-12 year olds.
