Ish - many conservatives ducked the draft (like Bush).

And like Buchannon. And a long long list of men
who ran away when duty called but returned as
fire-eating he-man conservatives. Always eager
to execute someone. Perhaps to atone for their cowardice?

While liberals volunteered and served (like Gore).

Hope you're enjoying Bush in office. I know I am.
If disasters continue at this rate I doubt he'll make
it through his four years.
