Milo: Wasn't that demo from AMD without a heatsink at 900Mhz. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. I thought that was the point Palomino at 900Mhz no heatsink cool to the touch. You are remembering correctly. Yes, the Palomino consumes significantly less juice than the Tbird, but the fact remains that (IIRC) no Palominos (=?)>1GHz have been demo'ed. Now, it may just be that AMD feels that it's quite clear to everyone that the Palomino can actually take over from the Tbird and thus there's no need to demonstrate its abilities in this respect. If so, that's another serious miscalculation by AMD marketing. -fyo
