x-man, I posted this earlier. Message 15645218 With mad cow, foot and mouth disease, Europe is expecting a sharp decrease in tourism. Americans will be traveling domestically this year and basically ignoring the stock market. They will be paying a higher price in energy cost to travel in the States this year, but will think a family vacation will be a better investment than catching the so call "bottom of the market". This is the great American psyche. Do what feels good today, put off tomorrow. Even in Bull Markets the volume has been leaner in summer months. Can you image what it will be like this summer? This is an earnings rally like the last. Nothing more. As always, allocation is the key for a winning position :-)
