This time China is just sending a message/warning. Looks like few US people got it. Last time I heard there are only 10 this kind EP-3 spy plane in service. So 1 down, 9 to go. We require that any foreign military aircraft flying within that zone must report in or risk retaliatory action.

<China stands alone in trying to claim 200 mile limits to it's shores, and extend it's hegimony over the south China sea. We aren't going to let that happen, it is not the accepted practice of international law, and we won't make any more of an exception for them than we did for Libya and their line of death. Jim << That 200 mile limit is for resources, not sovereignty. Russian trawlers are routinely much closer, I think the sovereignty limit that is recognized is 12 miles. Hepps
