Pending Price War Between Palm & Hand?

Palm CEO warns of m50x delays

Palm CEO Carl Yankowski warned at an analyst meeting yesterday that volume shipments Palm m500 and m505 devices "are going to be a few weeks later than we had planned." There is also talk of a possible price war between Palm and Handspring in the coming months. Lehman Brothers analyst Joseph To is quoted as saying, "Given the high levels of inventory at Palm and in the channel, we believe there could be the potential for a price war come May, which would have a negative impact on both Palm and Handspring." Handspring is expected to report a 6 cent per share loss tomorrow as well.
