Like AI, I don't think NOW needs to please everyone with their approach. This brings up thoughts that go back to a post you addressed to me a long time ago (that I DO have saved) about effective action and those who are more "out there". I think it takes groups who are more on the edge, more provocative, to make the middle ground possible. It doesn't work just to talk sense and be nice, usually (imo) unless there is someone further out pushing things. And, yes, those people piss people off. But they tend to work well in tandem with the calmer influences. What was once radical, becomes mainstream. or something. I read a great quote along those lines ~ Wait, it was one E posted! It is saved on another computer, though, so I don't have access right now.
