Actually, i think 'ilk like Shell' became first aware of this promotion when as a joke i posted this - Message 15447783
... can't remember how i came across it, but it sure wasn't from cruising ragingbull, lol ... the connection is of course that aznt and its hypesters are a standing joke among quite a few posters, and when this mdin or mdhm or whatever they call it now compared itself to aznt, it was placing itself in a line extending back through hitt and mtei and a whole raft of others right through to ovis/rmil ... quite the association, and not one that portends well for shareholders imho.

Anyway, i never saw the ilk refer to this promotion before ... and i've followed it off and on since Vince spammed the arp.v thread that time - Message 6764059

[edit] - this is called 'humor' by one of the denizens of the censored thread - ragingbull.lycos.com
... apparently ..... takes all kinds i guess eh

lol, that's what they all say: close to registering the entire float, blah blah blah.

I am making no predictions here, but when ilk like Shell suddenly crawl out of the woodwork, somebody must be close to panic mode.

Good God!! Let me guess: you're from RB, where many believe that "bashers only bash good stocks"

Snicker.

re "Shares that fail to be turned into certs by May 1st will be rendered null and void."

So you're saying the someone who keeps their certs in the wall safe, and has been away on an extended world cruise or something, might come home May 2 to find their Medinah certs have, in their absence, become worthless, and will not be honored by the company?
I don't think so!

The SEC might have an opinion on whether they can do this.
I've seen citations of state law allowing this, but not Federal law, which takes precedence when companies are traded.

It sounds an awful lot like the short squeeze which was supposedly going to start on May 7, 1999 when they spun off Medina Gold or somesuch.

Companies are not permitted to manipulate the price of their shares this way. I anticipate Federal intervention.

... Mezz - The share price sure doesn't reflect the claims of the true believers. And the tape seldom lies.
