Actually, I think our reported violent crime rate is now slightly higher; but it may be using different criteria. I was looking at non-gun homicides. The UK has less then the US. If guns per se are illegal, it's harder even for criminals to get them. The same should apply to drugs as well but they are easy to get. The really hard part was doing the same test in full NBC gear... mask and all. (I think I hit the target twice). In NBC gear I was lucky if I could hit the broad side of a barn at 100m. My inserts (I need glasses)where never properly fited and I couldn't even really see the targets. Fortuntely at basic all I had to do was fire the rifle in NBC gear. I didn't actually have to actually aim beyond pointing the rifle downrange. <G> Tim
