kirk, i didn't say bob was a monkey with a buy button.

what i said is that a monkey with a buy button would have performed BETTER than brinker (and, btw, about everyone else) in a stratospheric bubble market.

heck, that monkey would have crushed my returns, too ;-)

i can see how a supporter at the time would get upset (but i still stick by the truth of what was actually said).

i reserved the right to judge bob if he was able to successfully navigate a bear market.

WHOOOOOOPS! i wish no ill for bob. everyone makes bad calls. he isn't alone. however, what i don't like are the following:

1. his arrogance to insult others (who were fundamentally right, btw).
2. his self absorption that doesn't allow him to take criticism (even though he gloats and dumps truckloads on others).
3. his claim to being a market timer. i think "monkey buyer" would be more apt, although neither description is correct.
4. his gestapo tactics to manipulate information flow - he makes the chinese govt look secure.
5. the fact he appears to place his ego above his customers.

Kirk,

Re: I ALSO remember being upset that Rillinois was causing so many regulars distress here...

Ah, I remember those days well. <g> I have to admit that I would have never believed that Mr. Cash would be leading the charge today. <g>

Re: ...then I started to read what he said,

Yes, this has been key to making people see the truth about Bob. <g> BTW, in order to better serve future converts, was there any specific reason that you decided to read my posts?

Re: looked into the facts for myself...

Nothing wrong with verifying what you read on the internet. <g>

Re: ... and then became "not so big a fan"...

Another happy ending and a good lesson in why perseverance is a good quality to have. <g>

Best Regards.

Rillinois

P.S. Thanks for showing me how to copy URL's. <g>
