I actually agree -- other datafeeds limit the number of symbols one can watch realtime and QFeed should have similar limits put on. I've noticed that I have something like maybe 50 symbols up in my other datafeed and don't miss the ones I don't have up while my QCharts workspaces frequently had more than a few hundred just out of pure inertia. Also, I've been hearing about user written applications that track 100s of symbols for alerts etc based on changing real time charts . . . again, these sorts of applications would be a lot more limited in their capability to bog down servers if the number of symbols they could watch was limited. -A

one of the great things about QCharts is that you can watch, screen, track, scan, filter, whatever, unlimited symbols, using hotlists, or your own quotesheets. i doubt everyone watches hundreds of symbols, but it's comforting to know you can do it if you wish, for a flat monthly rate. so i think your theory about how this generates superflous demand and bogs down the system is weak, because it's just not being used by the majority of users. putting an arbitrary limit to the symbols as noSignal does is nonsense. ___ <<Tiers raise prices to cool superfluous demand. When you have to pay you stop watching 500 symbols and your returns start rising. I challenge anyone to effectively use more than 30.>>
