There are 2 factors that affect Rambus licensing revenue even more than running royalties on RDRAM's.

1 Because of the Rambus litigation on SDRAM and DDR companies are not signing licenses with Rambus. This means fewer large up-front fees for Rambus.

2 Because of the Rambus litigation some companies that have signed licenses are not paying royalties on SDRAM and DDR. They are waiting to see if the patents survive litigation or get killed.
