Michael, thanks for your thoughts. I'll read them a second time. It disturbs me that you think seismic is the wrong niche when Frank thinks otherwise. Guess I'll have to do my own thinking :) I often compare semi and OSX sectors myself. It bothers me that most finance magazines gush about energy investments now but OSX has been unable to exceed last September's heights. This reminds me of semi equips a year ago when most saw nothing but sunshine two years out. I got a hold of the 'S&P Outlook' dated August 2000 today. It is very sobering to see how wrong they were.

MH, Nice thoughts, I would add that during this time frame when Kudlow was raving and "technology" was going to permanently keep oil below $5 / BBL, I distinctly remember TMAR at around $4 and GLM around $8. These represented PEs close to unity. These now are trading at 3-4X those prices. I'll take 3-4X in 3-4 years any time.

I believe we still have a ways to go to clear the tech problems but it won't take rocket science to detect when the techs are on the move back and there will be plenty of time for a decent return.

Personally I am loaded for the immediate trading rally in tech with tight stops. Am holding 1/3 tech, 1/3 NG services/E&Ps and 1/3 financials/retails/gamers. At first sign of stumble in tech will sell 50-90% and rotate into other two.
