AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2001-- Lane15 Software, the leading developer of InfiniBand(TM)(a) management software, today announced the addition of Kevin A. Reinis, vice president and general manager of the IBM Division for VERITAS Software, and Brian R. Smith, chairman and CEO of Crossroads Systems, a leading provider of connectivity for storage networking solutions, to the company's advisory board. Lane15's advisory board assists the company in the development and marketing of fabric management software for heterogeneous InfiniBand networks.

Kevin A. Reinis is the vice president and general manager of the IBM Division for VERITAS Software. Prior to joining VERITAS Software, Reinis was vice president and general manager of PowerVault Storage for Dell Computer Corporation's Enterprise Systems Group. Reinis had a 14-year career with IBM Corporation, serving as IBM's Director of Business Line Management for the Storage Systems Division. Reinis earned his Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian R. Smith is the chairman and CEO of Crossroads Systems. His experience in high-end storage and communication systems was key to forming Crossroads. Before starting Crossroads, Smith was employed by IBM. He successfully developed and delivered FDDI and fibre channel solutions. Smith earned a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Smith serves as a director for Times N Systems, Chicory Systems and is the chairman for Teravicta Technologies.

Other members of Lane15's advisory board include Wo Overstreet, former vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for McDATA; Jerry Peterson, former vice president of Compaq Computers' Enterprise Computing Group; John Stockton, former CEO of Synergy Semiconductor; and Phil Siegel, former consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.
